News from the Front

Camps are Fun and Subscriptions are Cool but Fall is Time to go Back to School!

Greetings from the home studio of the David Stanoch School of Drumming! I’m happy to report it’s been busy here since I opened the doors OnSite and OnLine in early September. In just the first week of operations, students signed up from Spain, Germany, Italy, England, Argentina & Mexico as well as from across the USA!

Since that time, I’ve also created satellite pages for the site on Facebook and Instagram (use @davidstanochschoolofdrumming for either site to find the pages) be sure to check them out––in addition to the loads of FREE content available on this home website, the social media pages feature even more FREE content including the new Sixty-Second Lesson Session clips that breakdown in just one minute a complete musical idea you can check out and try yourself!

I recently posted my first video advertisement for the school.
If you haven’t seen it yet, please check it out and feel free to share!

I’ve been busy with a variety of projects in addition to teaching, including an interactive drumset clinic coming up on November 14th at the new 247 Drum Shop VIP Lounge, right across the street from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA! I’m very excited to see old and new friends at my first edu event in the great city of Boston! If you’re in the area, I hope you’ll join me––you can find more information here: https://247drums.myshopify.com

I fly directly from the clinic to Indianapolis for the 2018 Percussive Arts Society International Convention, which is always a mind-blowingly fun affair. Are you a PAS member? If not you should check it out! I’m on the PASIC Drumset Committee and the line up of Drumset Artists we’re presenting in clinics and concerts, from November 15-17, is truly phenomenal! There’s literally nowhere else on the planet you can have this kind of experience in one spot in three days time! Dig the line-up here: https://pasic.org/artists-2018/

On Sunday, November 25th, the great podcast, Around the Kit, hosted by Joe Gansas will present a Tribute to Bernard “Pretty” Purdie that’s proud and excited to be co-hosting with Joe! This will be a LIVE 3 hour broadcast that you won’t want to miss, filled with spectacular guests and surprises. The show runs from 7-10 PM, Eastern Time, so mark your calendars and join us for a wonderful celebration of a living legend. Check the podcast here – http://www.blogtalkradio.com/aroundthekit.

Yesterday I took one of the best drum lessons I’ve ever taken in my life. David Stanoch was an absolute pro, and if you’re looking for a drumkit teacher, hit him up. What made the lesson so good? Simply put, Dave saw what I needed and addressed it very quickly. Like I said, one of the best lessons I’ve ever had!”

A week ago I had a lesson with the great drummer
David Stanoch. He greeted me at the door like a long-time friend and spent considerable time digging into my issue and he found it. He gave me many tools including his book, Mastering The Tables of Time, and showed me how I could use it to break out of the rut I’m in. I can already see forward momentum in the right direction. Drummers look this guy up!! He’s a monster player, a genius teacher, and a genuine person who really wants to help you achieve your potential.
